July 24 – August 4, 2018 | Menier Gallery, London, UK — Xu Xuehan Solo Exhibition “Seize the Moment” Showcases European Black-and-White Humanistic Photography

From July 24 to August 4, 2018, Chinese humanistic photographer XU Xuehan held his solo exhibition Seize the Moment at the Menier Gallery in London, United Kingdom. The exhibition was supervised by Mr. Cui Bo, a committee member of the Curatorial Committee of the China Photographers Association, and curated by Ms. Xue Yujie and Ms. Zhang Tingyu from the University of Westminster. After three months of careful planning and preparation, the exhibition officially opened on July 24.

August,2018 | London,UK —Xu Xuehan’s photobook Seize the Moment was launched and has been permanently acquired by the British Library, the National Art Library at the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Westminster Reference Library, and the Tate Library.

On July 24, 2018, the solo photography exhibition Seize the Moment by Chinese humanistic photographer XU Xuehan opened at the Menier Gallery in London, UK.

Alongside the exhibition, the photo book of the same title, Seize the Moment , published by the China National Photographic Art Publishing House, was officially released in London. The event received wide media coverage from over a dozen domestic and international news outlets, including People's Daily, Guangming Daily, Europe Times, and UK Chinese Journal.

September 2018 | Pingyao, China — Xu Xuehan’s European Documentary Photobook Wins Phoenix TV Award at Pingyao International Photography Festival

In September 2018, Chinese humanist photographer Xu Xuehan’s bilingual photography monograph Seize the Moment: From Amsterdam to Dubrovnik, published by the China National Photographic Art Publishing House, was awarded the Phoenix TV Award for Outstanding Photography Book at the 2018 Pingyao International Photography Festival.

November 2018 | Barbizon, France — Hans Xu Presents Photography Monograph to Musée Millet, Honoring Jean-François Millet’s Legacy and Promoting Sino-French Cultural Exchange

In November 2018, during the touring exhibition of the 2nd Meta—NING Contemporary Image Art Exhibition at the ALFART Gallery in Barbizon, a historic painters’ village on the southern outskirts of Paris, Chinese humanist photographer Hans Xu (Xu Xuehan) was specially invited by Mr. M. Farat, President of the Jean-François Millet Foundation and Director of the Musée Millet, to visit the former residence of the renowned 19th-century realist painter Jean-François Millet. As a tribute to Millet’s artistic legacy and a gesture of Sino-French cultural exchange, Hans Xu presented the museum with a copy of his bilingual photography monograph, Seize the Moment: From Amsterdam to Dubrovnik.
