October 2019 | Beijing, China — Hans Xu Selected for China Photographers Association’s Fourth Emerging Photographic Talents Training Program

In October 2019, Hans Xu (Xu Xuehan) participated in the ten-day Fourth Training Program for Emerging Photographic Talents, organized by the China Photographers Association in Beijing. As one of the association’s flagship initiatives, this program is dedicated to identifying and nurturing young and mid-career photographers with strong potential and artistic influence, aiming to promote diverse development and academic advancement in Chinese photography.

As a distinguished documentary and humanistic photographer active both in China and internationally, Xu was selected for the program due to his solid professional foundation, unique visual language, and sustained creative practice. During the training, he engaged in intensive theoretical study, expert lectures, and creative workshops alongside other outstanding photographers from across the country. This experience not only broadened his academic perspective but also provided fresh insights and inspiration for his future work. His participation in this program reflects both the recognition of his achievements and his prominent role among the new generation of contemporary Chinese photographic talents.
