In June 2023, to celebrate the 120th anniversary of Nanjing Normal University, Hans Xu (Xu Xuehan) was invited to exhibit his photographic work at the Alumni Exhibition and the Inaugural Meeting of the School of Fine Arts Alumni Association, held at the Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum. As a distinguished alumnus of Nanjing Normal University and a current university professor and photographic artist, Xu’s work—known for its profound humanistic perspective and unique visual language—showcased his solid academic foundation and mature artistic expression.

This exhibition served not only as a heartfelt tribute to the university’s 120-year legacy but also as a collective gesture of gratitude from alumni through their creative contributions. Xu expressed that the artistic nurturing and professional training he received during his time at Nanjing Normal University laid a strong foundation for his future career in photography and education. Through his exhibited work, he conveyed deep appreciation and respect for his alma mater, hoping to continue embodying and passing on the school’s enduring spirit of “Integrity, Benevolence, Diligence, and Prudence” through his artistic and educational endeavors.
