One evening in Amiens, France, I was drawn to the geometry and lighting at the entrance of this underground parking garage. The warm glow of the streetlamp contrasts sharply with the cold fluorescent light inside, revealing a quiet tension within the urban space. Through this contrast in color temperature, I aimed to highlight the subtle beauty and underlying order of the city. The directional sign and surveillance camera suggest a controlled environment, where movement is guided and observed. With this image, I seek to evoke a poetic reflection on the tension between intimacy and distance in our everyday urban surroundings.
