Standing before the iconic Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas, I was struck by how these half-buried cars transformed into ever-changing canvases of public expression. Layer upon layer of graffiti speaks not only to rebellion and freedom, but also to a collective need for visibility. I positioned my shadow deliberately in the frame—as both witness and participant in this evolving installation. The vivid colors, set against the dusty plains, evoke a tension between permanence and impermanence. Through this image, I reflect on how art can live beyond the artist—claimed and reshaped by everyone who passes through.
